University of Texas Wedding Photography

It was Tuesday morning on 5/20 at 8:45am when I met Angel and William for the first time on UT campus. They were going to get married, but the day didn’t feel like a wedding or look like a wedding, at least in a traditional sense. It was early enough for the dew to still be on the grass, and the sun had just made it above UT’s buildings. We were on an empty campus, and there were about 10 of their closest friends there chatting and waiting for the events to start. There were no chairs lined up, ushers waiting to greet you, or wedding planners to keep everyone on schedule.

Angel and William first met while taking care of a freshman student at UT. Afterwards, they later realized they are from the same hometown in Taiwan, just a block away from each other! Of all the universities in the US they could come to for grad school, they both chose UT in Austin. Two years later, here we were.

The morning was simple, yet beautiful. Angel and William were so relaxed and in love, and it showed so clearly. Angel told William that she’d always love him with the 16-year old kind of love, and the whole morning just felt like a scene out of your favorite romantic movie. William had family from Taiwan come in for the celebration, and they continued the rest of the day hanging out with friends in family. Thanks Angel and William for bringing me along to capture the celebration!

University of Texas Wedding Photography were taken by Day 7 Photography, an Austin Wedding Photographer available for travel throughout Texas and beyond. We create natural, candid, and organic wedding photos for the modern bride. DAY 7 is about slowing down and enjoying the world around us. I believe every wedding is a beautifully complex story filled with raw and authentic moments waiting to be captured. Taking on a limited number of weddings each year allows me to focus intensely on the detail of your unique wedding. I meet with every couple to determine how I can best fit your needs.
