River Oaks Garden Club Wedding Photos

Katie and Ragland are quality people. They’re just great all around, and it was an honor to be their photographer. I know Katie from school, and we had a couple advertising classes at UT together. When planning the engagement session, it turned out Katie and Ragland were both in California at the same time as me, so we had a little “destination” engagement session in Santa Monica where Ragland goes to school.  Ragland is in the UCLA graduate film program, and he’s about to tear it up in the film industry pretty soon!

So after that session with them, I knew their wedding would be a blast. Katie and Ragland are fun people, and they are so clearly loved by their friends and family. One thing that was really special was doing communion with the wedding party. Ragland and Katie met each other at West U. Methodist Church, and they decided to have communion right after their first look. It was special, unique, and a great way to start the day. The rest of the day from the ceremony to the send off followed suit – meaningful and memorable, just the way Katie and Ragland are.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor reception, and the lighting added a romantic ambiance. A live band played some awesome swing music, and it was so fun watching everyone bust out their moves!
