Charlie and Jocelyn met while working together in Singapore, and they hardly expected their friendship to turn into more. But one day, Charlie asked her out one day after a church event they attended together, and they haven’t looked back ever since.
I think every wedding is beautiful and uniquely meaningful, and I’m always honored to capture such special moments in peoples lives. I’m invited into intimate events, and I become the visual microphone so others can see. This wedding was no exception, and since they were living in Singapore, their friend and relative Stephanie helped plan almost the entire wedding. They had chosen to have no wedding party, which meant I got extra time to capture their portraits with them. We traveled to the Sculpture Garden near MFAH and explored the area around there. I had an entire hour for portraits with the bride and groom, and I was like a kid on a playground because of that. I love how they built in quality time for portraits in the wedding day timeline, which gave me the space to be creative without limitations.
The AD Bruce Religion Center at the University of Houston was a beautiful setting for their wedding ceremony, and the reception at Fung’s Kitchen was delicious. Thank you Charlie and Jocelyn for the chance to capture such a special time in your lives!
These AD Bruce Religion Center Wedding Photos were taken by Day 7 Photography, an Austin Wedding Photographer available for travel throughout Texas and beyond. We create natural, candid, and organic wedding photos for the modern bride. DAY 7 is about slowing down and enjoying the world around us. I believe every wedding is a beautifully complex story filled with raw and authentic moments waiting to be captured. Taking on a limited number of weddings each year allows me to focus intensely on the detail of your unique wedding. I meet with every couple to determine how I can best fit your needs.
Beautiful Pictures!!
